Rising above the waters of the St. Lawrence River is the stately manor referred to as The House Of Seven Gables. Built in 1903, it was the largest home ever built on a Canadian island. The home exceeds 16,000 square feet, not including the many other buildings that include a boathouse, pump house, water tower, gazebo, ice house, and bridge to a smaller island. It has been totally restored and many of its original artifacts still remain.
